Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant General Manager – Projects based in Bengaluru South. The role involves leading and overseeing multiple interior fit-out and design-build projects from initiation to handover, ensuring delivery within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The Assistant General Manager – Projects will coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and internal teams to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include project planning, resource allocation, risk identification, cost control, and monitoring site progress through regular reviews and site visits. The role also includes supervising project teams, implementing health and safety standards, managing contracts and documentation, and preparing regular progress reports for senior leadership and clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management for interior fit-out, general contracting, or design-build projects, preferably in corporate or commercial spaces.
- Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control using relevant tools and software.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and cross-functional internal teams.
- Hands-on experience in site execution, quality control, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and conflict-resolution capabilities, with the ability to mentor and guide project teams.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to provide clear project updates and reports.
- Comfortable working from Bengaluru South project locations on-site and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with contracts, tendering processes, vendor management, and procurement for construction and interior works.
- Experience with MS Office, project management software, and basic CAD/technical drawing understanding is an advantage.
