Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced AGM – ME / NPD professional with strong knowledge in heavy fabrication and product development activities. The candidate should have hands-on experience in manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, bending, welding, assembly, and fabrication development activities. The role involves leading new product development, process improvement, cross-functional coordination, and customer requirement execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complete New Product Development (NPD) activities from concept to production stage.
Develop fabrication and heavy fabrication products based on customer drawings and technical specifications.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, bending, welding, machining, and assembly.
Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, and Planning teams for smooth project execution.
Review product feasibility, manufacturing capability, and cost optimization activities.
Monitor prototype development, trial activities, and product validation processes.
Ensure process improvement and productivity enhancement in fabrication operations.
Handle customer discussions regarding technical clarifications, product development status, and engineering changes.
Prepare and review BOM, process flow, production drawings, and technical documents.
Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with customer and company standards.
Lead and mentor the NPD and engineering team for effective project execution.
Work closely with vendors and suppliers for development of fabrication components and raw materials.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge in Heavy Fabrication and Product Development
Expertise in Laser Cutting, Bending, Welding, and Fabrication Processes
Knowledge of GD&T and Engineering Drawings
Experience in handling customer development projects
Good leadership and team handling skills
Problem-solving and analytical skills
