The AGM – Legal will lead and oversee all legal functions related to real estate projects, ensuring robust legal compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic support to business operations. This role requires deep expertise in property and land laws, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to independently manage complex legal matters while aligning legal strategy with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities1. Title Due Diligence & Land Acquisition- Lead end-to-end title due diligence for land acquisitions and development projects.
- Review and validate ownership records, title chains, encumbrances, land use permissions, and revenue records.
- Identify legal risks and provide strategic inputs for structuring land transactions.
- Advise management on acquisition feasibility and risk mitigation strategies.
2. Drafting, Vetting & Negotiation- Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents, including:
- Sale Deeds, Lease Deeds, Conveyance Deeds
- Joint Development Agreements (JDAs)
- Development Agreements, Collaboration Agreements, MOUs
- EPC contracts, vendor agreements, and commercial contracts
- Ensure all documentation complies with applicable laws and protects company interests.
- Standardize contract templates and improve drafting practices across the organization.
3. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance- Ensure compliance with RERA, local land laws, municipal regulations, and other statutory frameworks.
- Oversee approvals, registrations, and licensing processes with government authorities.
- Track legal and regulatory changes and implement necessary compliance measures.
- Establish internal compliance protocols and conduct periodic audits.
4. Litigation & Dispute Resolution- Lead strategy and management of civil, property, and regulatory litigation matters.
- Coordinate with external counsel, review pleadings, and monitor case progress.
- Provide legal strategy for dispute resolution, arbitration, and settlements.
- Minimize legal exposure through proactive risk management.
5. Contract Management & Legal Operations- Oversee the full contract lifecycle: drafting, negotiation, execution, and archival.
- Maintain and digitize a centralized repository of legal documents.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency in legal operations.
- Ensure proper documentation governance and audit readiness.
6. Business Advisory & Stakeholder Management- Act as a strategic legal advisor to internal teams (projects, sales, finance, CRM).
- Support deal structuring, negotiations, and commercial decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on high-value transactions and partnerships.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including government authorities, consultants, and legal firms.
7. Team Leadership & Development- Lead and mentor junior legal team members.
- Allocate work, review outputs, and ensure high-quality legal deliverables.
- Build a strong legal function aligned with organizational growth.

Educational Qualifications- LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) – Mandatory
- LL.M (Master of Laws) – Preferred
- Enrollment with the Bar Council of India – Preferred
Preferred Experience- 10–15 years of experience in real estate, construction, or infrastructure sector
- Proven experience in handling large-scale land transactions and development projects
- Exposure to both litigation and non-litigation matters
- Experience working with reputed real estate developers or law firms
