Role Description The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Hyderabad Area, responsible for supporting overall hospital operations and administrative management. This role oversees day-to-day functioning of designated departments, helps ensure adherence to clinical and operational protocols, and supports service quality, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The Assistant General Manager collaborates with medical, nursing, and support teams on workflow optimization, resource allocation, and resolution of operational issues. Key responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, assisting in budgeting and cost control, coordinating with vendors and external partners, and supporting implementation of new processes and technologies. The role also involves preparing reports for senior leadership, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and contributing to initiatives that enhance patient experience and staff engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong hospital operations, administration, and facilities management skills, with experience in a multi-specialty or super specialty healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in planning, organizing, and process improvement, including workflow optimization, resource planning, and quality assurance.
- Sound financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and basic data analysis for operational decision-making.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and people development skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for coordination with patients, families, staff, and external partners.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements relevant to hospital operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role in healthcare operations, preferably in nephrology, urology, or critical care settings.
- Comfort with using hospital information systems, basic MS Office tools, and reporting dashboards.
