Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune for an Assistant General Manager. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing team performance, and ensuring targets are met efficiently. This includes building and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers, supervising procurement and inventory, and implementing strategic initiatives. The role also involves managing budgets, identifying operational improvements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.


Requirements

  • Postgraduate in Business Administration, Commerce, or Science
  • 8–12 years of experience in chemical distribution, trading, or industrial supply
  • Prior experience in a general management or business head role
  • Strong relationships with pharma, research, or industrial procurement teams in Pune preferred
  • Financially literate - comfortable reviewing P&L, margins, and working capital


Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in strategic planning, decision-making, and goal-setting
  • Experience in procurement, inventory management, and logistics coordination
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proven expertise in financial oversight, budgeting, and optimizing operational efficiency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment and meet deadlines
