Job Purpose

To support the Facility/Technical Manager in ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant operation of all factory infrastructure and utilities, including maintenance, engineering systems, and contractor management.

Key Duties

• Responsible for the overall facilities operations ensuring that services delivered are in accordance with service agreement, company and client policies, procedures, and standards.
• Assist in managing day-to-day facility operations within the factory
• Maintenance of, Electrical systems (HT/LT panels, DG sets), HVAC systems, Plumbing and water supply systems, Compressed air systems, Fire protection systems.
• Support implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Overall responsible for management of Technicians & Vendors and Subcontractors.
• Data collation for Stock Costs, Operating Parameters for equipment & utilities, statistics for energy consumption, Diesel Consumption, water consumption, STP produce and analysis for FM reports
• Maintaining 100% uptime of critical equipment & compliance to Preventive Maintenance plan
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures.
• Ensure compliance with local environmental, health & safety legislation Coordinate and manage insurance and service contract requirements and associated vendors
• Support implementation of ISO, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies
• Conduct safety inspections and audits
• Ensure readiness of fire safety systems and emergency response plans
• Develop and maintain annual operating budget and provide reports upon request
• Maintain Asset registers, AMC Contracts, Compliance records.
• Undertake other facilities and real estate related tasks that may arise from time to time at the direction of the technical manager
• Prepare weekly shift/duty rosters for MEP resources
• Prepare MIS reports on Maintenance performance, Utility consumption, Downtime analysis.
• Implementation of initiatives to improve operational efficiencies in facility.
• Identify opportunities for energy optimization and cost reduction
• Monitor contractors’ performance ensuring that Service Level Agreements are met, and Key Performance Indicators are exceeded   in line with agreed practices and contractual requirements
• Undertake site inspections on a regular basis to identify building issues and ensure timely closure
• Develop benchmarks in service delivery and make the team to work towards improving them
• Liaise with Procurement team to develop specifications and scopes of work for materials and spare parts as required
• Assist in execution of facility upgrade and expansion projects
