Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Engineer role based in the Greater Surat Area. The Assistant Engineer will support senior engineers and project managers in planning, coordinating, and executing construction activities, including site supervision, progress monitoring, and quality checks. Daily responsibilities include preparing technical documentation, assisting with drawings and specifications, tracking material usage, and helping ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role also involves coordinating with site teams and vendors, reporting project status, and contributing to problem-solving on engineering and construction issues. The position requires attention to detail, clear communication, and a proactive approach to supporting successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of civil or structural engineering principles and construction methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction plans.
- Proficiency with basic engineering and office software (e.g., CAD tools, MS Office) and willingness to learn project management systems.
- Understanding of safety standards, quality control practices, and relevant building codes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary site and office teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, and attention to detail in technical tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil or related discipline) from an accredited institution.
- Previous internship or work experience in construction or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Surat Area and adapt to dynamic project environments.
