ASSISTANT MANAGER – DESIGN & NPD (Engineering R&D)
Location: Corporate Office – Sequoia Safety / Surlon Durel, sector 155, Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Department: Engineering R&D / New Product Development
Experience: 5-7 Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a hands-on and technically strong Design & NPD professional to support product development, tooling design and manufacturing engineering activities across Sequoia Safety and Surlon Durel businesses.
The candidate should have strong expertise in SolidWorks, SolidCAM and CNC/VMC programming, with practical experience in mould, fixture, die and product development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and develop moulds, fixtures, dies and production tooling
• Support complete NPD and product development activities from concept to production
• Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Generate CNC/VMC programs using SolidCAM
• Coordinate with production, machining, quality and vendor teams for product development and trials
• Support process improvement, tooling optimisation and manufacturing feasibility studies
• Work on reverse engineering, prototyping and development of new engineering components
• Maintain technical documentation, BOMs and revision-controlled drawings
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidCAM
• Hands-on experience in CNC and VMC programming
• Experience in mould, fixture, die and tooling development
• Good understanding of machining, fabrication and manufacturing processes
• Strong problem-solving and product development approach
• Ability to work closely with production and cross-functional teams
• Experience with IRIS standards and railway/industrial quality systems preferred
Candidates with experience in railways, defence, aerospace or precision engineering industries will be preferred.
