Role Description The Assistant Deputy Manager Purchase role is a full-time, on-site position based in Naidupeta. The role involves managing day-to-day procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, and issuing purchase orders for raw materials, spare parts, and services. The Assistant Deputy Manager Purchase will monitor inventory levels, track deliveries, ensure timely availability of materials, and coordinate closely with production, stores, and finance teams. The role also includes maintaining vendor relationships, evaluating supplier performance, preparing purchase reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The individual will support continuous improvement in purchasing processes to optimize cost, quality, and reliability.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in procurement operations, supplier sourcing, and vendor relationship management.
- Ability to negotiate contracts, manage pricing, and analyze cost-saving opportunities.
- Proficiency in inventory management, purchase order processing, and tracking deliveries.
- Comfort with using ERP or purchasing software, MS Excel, and other basic office tools.
- Knowledge of industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably metals or recycling.
- Effective communication, coordination, and teamwork skills across cross-functional departments.
- Attention to detail, data accuracy, and commitment to compliance and ethical purchasing practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in purchase or supply chain roles in manufacturing is highly beneficial.
