Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi for an Assistant Brand and Social Media Manager. The role involves managing Obeetee’s social media presence by developing and executing content strategies, writing and curating engaging content, and optimizing social media platforms to enhance brand visibility. The role also includes collaborating with internal teams to align brand messaging and ensuring consistent communication across all channels.
This role is responsible for taking the brand’s larger communication strategy and translating it into day-to-day social media planning and execution. The Social Media Editor & Manager ensures that all branded content is produced on time, published as per calendar, performs well across platforms, and remains aligned with brand tone and storytelling standards. The role also builds strong internal channels for research, development, and editorial depth.

1. SOCIAL MEDIA EXECUTION & PLATFORM MANAGEMENT
Instagram
- Conceptualise and execute new ideas for social basis the brand developments laid out and editorial buckets established by the brand.
- Drive the monthly and weekly posting calendar based on priorities set by Brand Comms.
- Ensure all planned content (posts, reels, and stories) go live on schedule.
- Coordinate with the art team to brief, track, and ensure timely delivery of assets (static, video, stories, reels).
- Optimise posts for performance—format, tags, layout, cover images, story linking, etc.
- Maintain daily hygiene: responding to DMs, engaging with the community, monitoring comments, and handling queries professionally.
- Track trends relevant to the brand and identify where existing content can be adapted—not conceptualising new ideas but adapting what the team already has.
- Maintain a ready bank of theme and season specific social media ideas to develop every month
- Repackage and upload archival and fresh imagery into simple, topical story formats as required.
- Write captions in the GE tone of voice ensuring accuracy, brand context, and clarity.
- Track analytics weekly and monthly to understand what is working; suggest small tactical adjustments.

- Define social media and employer branding strategy for Linkedin
- Manage the posting calendar and upload schedule tailored for leadership, culture, and business updates.
- Draft clean, professional copy based on inputs from the Brand Comms and leadership teams.
- Maintain hygiene by ensuring consistent posting and timely approvals.
Pinterest
- Maintain regular pinning/posting hygiene.
- Upload and optimise assets for discoverability and traffic.
- Keep boards and page sections updated with current product, editorial stories, or campaigns
2. COLLABORATIONS
- Forge new partnerships from a digital community building POV and bring them to fruition
- Coordinate with creatives and collaborators once the partnership on content management is approved by the editorial/brand team.
- Handle timelines, content needs, approvals, and posting requirements for collaborative content.
- Ensure tagging, credits, and cross-posting are executed correctly.
3. BRAND CAMPAIGNS
- Take the overarching campaign direction from the Brand Comms team and convert it into platform-specific executions.
- Conceptualise and execute how these campaigns can be adapted to social channels effectively
- Schedule and manage campaign assets across channels.
- Ensure all assets (videos, stories, reels, copy) are received from internal teams or agencies on time.
- Support the marketing team by adapting editorial narratives into captions or posts when required.
4. CROSS-TEAM COORDINATION & INTERNAL COMMUNICATION
- Build strong channels between brand comms, design, art, and marketing to ensure smooth information flow for shoots, product launches, and content plans.
- Attend regular internal meetings, track requirements, and convert them into clear checklists/briefs for execution.
- Make sure asset requests are raised on time and delivered on time.
- Maintain trackers: calendars, copy files, asset sheets, captions, performance logs.
5. RESEARCH SUPPORT
- Gather information from design and archives for captions, posts, campaign write-ups, and web stories.
- Be up to date on cool social media trends and circulate within team
- Provide factual and contextual references for shoot briefs where applicable, based on guidance from the Editorial team.
- Maintain an internal reference library (docs, links, notes, historical timelines) and share with team to drive ideas.
IDEAL PROFILE
· 4+ years in digital, editorial and social media roles
· Background in luxury, lifestyle, digital publication industries is preferable
· Passion storytelling, the world of communications, campaigns and social media
· On the go thinking – is able to generate creative ideas and implement them fast and with efficiency
· Hands on, self-starter, problem solver
· Left and right brained
· Highly organised
· Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and all current design softwares
· Well-versed with commonly used sizes and guidelines across mediums - online & offline

We work in a fast-paced communications environment. It is essential to be quick on your feet and be able to turn around projects in limited time spans to meet deadlines.
Collaboration
In this role you will be working closely with not only marketing and ecommerce teams but the extended team of content writers and other graphic designers, web designers, photographers and video editors, you should be an adept communicator, and effective collaborator who can liaise with different departments to manage your projects.
Digital Publishing
Our main tools of content creation are Retail print collaterals, Newsletters, Ads and Catalogues. You should be adept at understanding formats, publishing schedules, technical specifications of creating and uploading digital content, and be able to adapt your content in real time according to performance metrics as advised by digital marketing.
