Role Description The Assistant Banquet Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Hotel Centre Point in Nagpur. This role oversees day-to-day banquet operations, including coordinating event setups, supervising service staff, and ensuring that food and beverage standards are consistently met. The Assistant Banquet Manager works closely with clients to understand event requirements, manages timelines, and monitors service quality throughout events to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include supporting staff scheduling, assisting with hiring and training banquet team members, and collaborating with the kitchen and front office to deliver seamless event experiences. The role also involves monitoring inventory, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards, and providing feedback to improve overall banquet performance.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with the ability to manage guest expectations and resolve issues professionally.
- Excellent Communication skills to coordinate effectively with clients, team members, and cross-functional departments.
- Solid understanding of Food & Beverage operations, including menu knowledge, service standards, and event-specific requirements.
- Experience with Hiring and supervising banquet staff, including training, performance guidance, and team motivation.
- Relevant experience in banquet or hospitality management, preferably in a 4- or 5-star property.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
