BITS Law School invites applications for full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor of Law.
Location: BITS Law School | BITS Pilani. Mumbai Campus, Kalyan, Maharashtra, India

Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and dynamic faculty members who will contribute to:
- high-quality teaching and innovative pedagogy
- impactful legal scholarship and research

Successful candidates will actively participate in teaching, research, curriculum development, and student mentoring, while contributing to the growth of a vibrant academic community.
Focus Areas
We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Contract Law
- Civil Procedure Code (CPC)
- Corporate Law
- Technology Law
- Entertainment Law & Sports Law
- Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
- Clinical Legal Education
- Administrative Law
- Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
- Property Law
Candidates who are able and willing to teach across two or more of these areas will be strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Faculty members will be expected to:
Design and deliver engaging courses using innovative pedagogical approaches such as the Socratic method, case-based teaching, and experiential learning. Maintain an active research agenda and publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and academic outlets. Contribute to curriculum development and academic program design. Mentor and advise students on academic and professional development. Participate in institutional initiatives, committees, and academic governance.
Educational Qualifications:
Assistant / Associate Professor
- LL.M. from a reputed Indian or international university. PhD/ SJD in Law completed OR currently in progress at a recognized institution.
Professor
- PhD or SJD in Law from a reputed Indian or international university.
Experience & Skills:
Assistant/ Associate Professor
Prior teaching experience or significant professional experience in relevant areas (litigation, law firms, policy research, or academia) will be preferred. Demonstrated interest in legal scholarship and interdisciplinary engagement.
Professor
Minimum 10 years of teaching experience at a reputed law school or university. Authorship of at least one scholarly monograph published by a recognized academic press. Minimum 10 peer-reviewed publications in reputed international journals or edited academic volumes. Evidence of academic leadership and mentorship will be an advantage.
