Assistant Agriculture Director – Sensegrass
Location: Flexible (India / US / Global)
Mode- Remote with travelling possibility in India and abroad.
Compensation: Competitive Salary + Meaningful Equity (ESOPs)
Salary- 6 LPA to 12 LPA Net + Performance Bonus + Others (CTC- 18LPA to 22 LPA)
Exprience- 2 Years to 6 years

About the Role
We are hiring a high-impact leader to drive both agriculture strategy and business growth. This is a hybrid leadership role designed for someone who understands agriculture deeply but can also build revenue, partnerships, and scale markets.
This role is a fast-track to Assistant Agriculture Director, where you will own P&L, go-to-market strategy, partnerships, and expansion, while ensuring strong agricultural outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
1. Business & Revenue Leadership
- Own revenue growth, sales strategy, and market expansion
- Build and execute a Go-To-Market (GTM) for agri-tech products (sensors, AI advisory, SaaS)
- Identify and close enterprise deals (agri corporates, banks, FPOs, governments)
- Develop pricing, monetization, and business models
- Drive partnerships with global players, agri-input companies, and institutions
- Work on fundraising narratives, investor discussions, and strategic positioning
2. Agriculture Strategy & Agronomy- Lead agronomy programs across crops and geographies
- Ensure strong on-ground impact: yield improvement, cost reduction, sustainability
- Build AI-driven agronomy insights with product teams
- Oversee deployment of sensors, data collection, and advisory systems
3. Product & Market Alignment- Act as a bridge between farmers, product, and business teams
- Translate field insights into scalable product features
- Define market-fit and use cases across regions and crops
4. Partnerships & Ecosystem Building- Build relationships with:
- Agri-enterprises
- FPOs & cooperatives
- Government bodies
- Financial institutions (for agri-fintech integration)
- Lead strategic collaborations and pilots
5. Operations & Scale- Manage field teams and regional leads
- Drive expansion across states/countries
- Build scalable processes for farmer onboarding and retention
6. Data, Insights & Growth Metrics- Track KPIs:
- Revenue growth
- Farmer adoption
- Yield improvement
- Customer retention
- Use data to refine sales strategy and product positioning
Key Requirements- Degree in Agriculture / Agronomy / Agri-Business / related field
- 2–6 years experience across agriculture + business / sales / strategy
- Strong understanding of:
- Farming systems & rural ecosystems
- Agri value chains
- Business models in agri-tech or rural markets
- Proven ability in sales, partnerships, or business development
- Experience in startups / high-growth environments preferred
- Strong leadership, execution, and communication skills
