Role Description The Assistant Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include assisting with accounts payable and receivable, preparing basic financial reports, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves ensuring accurate documentation, organizing invoices and receipts, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors for payment and billing queries. This is a full-time on-site role based in the Greater Delhi Area, requiring regular collaboration with the finance and operations teams to support smooth business processes and compliance with accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess core accounting skills such as bookkeeping, ledger management, and basic financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and tools, including spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) and ERP or accounting systems.
- Candidates should possess strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to review and reconcile financial data accurately.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain systematic records.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, or a comparable qualification; pursuing professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA Inter) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance support role, preferably in retail, fashion, or a fast-paced business environment, is beneficial.
- Knowledge of basic taxation, invoicing standards, and local regulatory requirements in India is a plus.
