Role Overview
Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting for NCPL's industrial construction projects. Responsible for project-wise cost accounting, statutory compliance, vendor and client billing coordination, and timely submission of MIS reports. Serve as a key liaison between finance, procurement, and project teams to maintain financial discipline, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across all active sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and monitor project-wise cost statements, budgets, and variance reports
- Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance filings accurately and within deadlines
- Process vendor invoices, subcontractor bills, and client invoices with complete documentation
- Coordinate with project and procurement teams for work-order billing and payment tracking
- Assist in preparation of MIS reports, cash flow statements, and monthly/quarterly financials
- Support internal and statutory audits with timely submission of records and schedules
- Maintain accurate books in Tally/ERP and ensure data integrity across all entries
Skills Required
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, Ind AS, and statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF, PT)
- Project accounting and cost-to-completion reporting in a construction or infrastructure environment
- Familiarity with subcontractor billing, retention accounting, and work-order management
- Strong attention to detail with ability to meet strict regulatory deadlines
- Effective coordination with cross-functional teams including procurement, legal, and project sites
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical mindset with focus on accuracy and process discipline
- Hands-on experience with Tally Prime/ERP-based accounting systems
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for MIS, reconciliations, and financial analysis
Success Metrics
- All statutory filings (GST, TDS, etc.) submitted within due dates with zero penalties
- Monthly books closed and MIS submitted within 5 working days of month-end
- Vendor and client ledgers reconciled with zero unresolved differences beyond 30 days
- Audit-ready documentation maintained at all times; zero major audit observations
- Budget-vs-actual project cost reports delivered on schedule with 100% accuracy
- Zero instances of duplicate payments or unverified vendor bill processing
