Job Title: Assistant Accounts Manager
Location: India
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reporting To: Finance Manager / Head of Finance
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Accounts Manager to oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance with Indian taxation laws, support financial reporting to international headquarters, and manage the timely finalization of accounts. The role requires strong analytical skills, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Finalization
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and finalization of accounts
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
2. Indian Taxation Compliance
• Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances
• Ensure timely filing of returns and payments as per Indian regulations
• Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants for assessments and audits
• Keep updated with changes in Indian tax laws and ensure compliance
3. International HQ Reporting
• Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly financial reports to international headquarters
• Ensure reporting is aligned with group accounting policies (IFRS/Group GAAP as applicable)
• Support consolidation and intercompany reconciliation processes
• Coordinate with global finance teams for reporting requirements
4. Audit & Compliance
• Assist in internal and external audits
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal controls
• Support implementation of financial policies and procedures
5. MIS & Analysis
• Prepare MIS reports, variance analysis, and management reports
• Provide financial insights to support decision-making
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (CA / CMA / Inter preferred)
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation
• Strong knowledge of Indian taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax)
• Experience in accounts finalization and audit handling
• Exposure to international reporting / multinational environment preferred
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
