This position is part of the Process Engineering Institute and focuses on the development, planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of assembly processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive continuous process improvement and develop new assembly processes.
- Design assembly process plans and prepare, maintain, and optimize process documentation and work instructions.
- Lead the specification, evaluation, development, qualification, and introduction of tooling, equipment, and consumables.
- Establish and validate standard labor hours and consumables usage standards.
- Lead process planning, capacity planning, and production-line and workstation layout design.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve process-related quality issues, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Processing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience in final assembly process engineering within the machinery or equipment manufacturing industry.
- Experience in sub-assembly or final assembly processes at a wind turbine OEM is preferred.
- Strong process development and process design capabilities.
- Proficiency in CAD and technical drawing software.
- Experience serving as the process engineering representative on wind turbine product development or new product introduction projects is preferred.
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills, with a high level of ownership and accountability.
