The Shipping & Receiving Clerk keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment, receives inbound shipment, and stocks the warehouse.
This position requires the flexibility to work various shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business needs.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

Examines incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure all items have been correctly packaged, are free of obvious damage, paperwork and labels are correct, and all processing has been completed per company and customer requirements.

Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials, to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate action.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Hourly rate $19.00-22.99/hour based on experience. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs) available the first of the month following 30 days of employment, 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, vacation, holiday and sick time.
