The Glass and Ceramics Development department at ASML in Wilton, Connecticut is seeking a data science and image processing co-op with expertise in data science and image processing to work in the Analytics team. The Glass and Ceramics Development department (GCD) is a multi-disciplinary group of engineers and scientists focused on developing learning loop solutions, proto-typing of next generation wafer & reticle clamping systems and industrialization of proto-types that meet the system performance requirement. This co-op is during the fall of 2025, lasting approximately 12 weeks. The main focus of this position will be to: Develop/improve software solutions for image feature detection for optical metrology applications. The work may include: The use of machine learning models to predict trends and behaviors relating to defects, lifetime, and manufacturing improvements of the product; Application of computer vision models to unique feature sets Work with database structures to write software scripts to search, analyze and plot data from databases; Support image analysis on data and derive conclusions. Understand technical requirements and drive to a solution that meets them. Collaborate with the design team in software analysis tool development solve difficult technical problems in an efficient manner. Evaluate model/algorithm performance for accuracy and efficiency; ensure that it meets technical requirements. Perform software testing to identify application, algorithm and software bugs Clearly test, document and communicate progress, findings, and insights to stakeholders.
