Job Description

Project Overview:

• Support Ashoka's US team in screening nominations for our prestigious fellowship program for social entrepreneurs.
• Help evaluate innovative changemakers whose ideas have potential for systemic social impact by conducting research and contributing to our pipeline development.
  
  

Project Goals

• Review nominations of promising social entrepreneurs with new, systems-changing ideas in the US
• Expand our capacity to review and respond to hundreds of annual nominations from our global network
• Benchmark emerging innovations against existing solutions
  
  

Volunteer Responsibilities

• Review new nominations against Ashoka's selection criteria
• Conduct research to verify and expand on submitted information
• Create field-specific landscape analyses
• Prepare concise summaries of candidates' innovations and impact models
• Participate in team discussions about promising candidates

This is a role for the curious: you will be steeped in powerful ideas and emerging solutions to this country’s most entrenched problems. We're particularly interested in volunteers who have expertise in social impact, social innovation, and journalistic research. We are also interested in working with volunteers who have topical expertise that we can draw into conversations about relevant candidates as needed.
