About the Company
They are a Y Combinator-backed AI healthcare startup based in New York, on a mission to revolutionize the delivery of care through cutting-edge artificial intelligence and intuitive software. Their platform is designed to empower healthcare professionals with tools that are smart, fast, and user-friendly — making healthcare more efficient and accessible.

As they scale rapidly, they’re looking for an exceptional Founding Engineer to join the early team and help build the foundation of their product and technology.

What You’ll Do

  1. Take full ownership of core features across the stack — from backend services to frontend interfaces.
  2. Help define the technical vision and lay the groundwork for scalable systems and infrastructure.
  3. Collaborate closely with the founders, product, and clinical teams to iterate quickly and ship impactful features.
  4. Drive architectural decisions, technical standards, and engineering culture.
  5. Move fast, wear multiple hats, and help shape the company from the ground up.

What They’re Looking For

  1. 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience across the stack.
  2. Strong proficiency in modern frontend (e.g., React) and backend (e.g., Node.js, Python, or similar) technologies.
  3. Experience designing and building scalable, production-grade systems.
  4. Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and ownership.
  5. Passionate about building for impact — especially in healthcare or AI.
  6. Bonus: Previous startup or founding team experience, or familiarity with the healthcare domain.
