About the role

The Residential Associate Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and supervising all Residential Associate staff operations at Holloway’s 20-bed Interim Housing Program. In addition to supervising staff, they oversee daily client activities and ensure the facility operates smoothly and efficiently during swing shifts.

They ensure the facility meets all health, safety, and sanitation standards by maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents and staff. This role involves reporting equipment or structural issues, managing emergencies, and utilizing trauma-informed care principles to resolve conflicts. The Supervisor communicates regularly with the Case Manager, Residential Associates, and Manager of Expansion Programs through review of shift reports, incident documentation, and client grievances. They are also expected to attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned related to Holloway operations.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Hire, supervise, and evaluate Residential Associate staff for day, swing, and overnight shifts
  • Coordinate Residential Associate schedules and shift assignments
  • Oversee RA staff timesheets and ensure timely submissions
  • Review shift reports, incident reports, and client grievances daily
  • Facilitate monthly house meetings with clients
  • Supervise all client activities including meals, hygiene, and general interactions
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and composure under trauma-informed care principles
  • Ensure completion of daily shift reports and incident documentation
  • Ensure daily room checks are conducted
  • Report urgent client issues immediately to the Manager and Director of Programs
  • Notify public authorities (e.g., paramedics, sheriff) when emergencies arise
  • Collaborate with management team on food deliveries and assist with meal service as needed
  • Create weekly shopping lists and maintain inventory of supplies
  • Ensure daily cleaning of kitchen, dining areas, laundry facilities, and restrooms
  • Ensure removal of trash from the facility
  • Report facility repair or maintenance needs
  • Perform site maintenance and other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Management experience, preferably in a social services setting
  • Previous experience working in homeless or comparable social service programs
  • Ability to listen effectively and apply trauma-informed problem resolution techniques
  • Experience in facility maintenance preferred
  • Clean driving record and valid CA driver’s license required
  • Physically able to lift, carry supplies, and perform cleaning/maintenance tasks
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills desirable but not required
  • Must meet insurance carrier’s requirements to drive agency vehicles
  • Must pass drug screening and TB test prior to employment
  • Must carry active and adequate auto insurance when driving personal vehicles for work

Physical Working Conditions

  • Requires prolonged sitting, standing, frequent bending, stooping, and stretching
  • Some lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required
  • Frequent and prolonged computer use; use of keyboards and phones required
