Core Technical Skills
- 9–12+ years of experience with IBM i / AS400 systems
- Expert-level proficiency in RPG, RPGLE (Free and Fixed), CL, CLLE
- Strong expertise in DB2/400, SQL, performance tuning, and indexing
- Experience with IBM i system administration concepts (jobs, subsystems, libraries, security)
- Hands-on experience with debugging, profiling, and performance optimization
Integration and Modernization
- Experience integrating IBM i with Java, .NET, web applications, or cloud platforms
- Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, FTP/SFTP
- Exposure to IBM i modernization tools and strategies
Tools and Methodologies
- Experience with change management and version control tools (Aldon, TurnOver, Git)
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps practices
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in automobile, banking, insurance, manufacturing, or retail domains
- Knowledge of UI modernization tools (WebSphere, Node.js, React, etc.)
- IBM certifications related to IBM i / RPG
