About the role

Within the North, we are looking for a new member to join our Manchester office and support the team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about urban regeneration, housing, transport, and the integration of these factors in shaping the places around us. Ideally, we are looking for someone with c. 12 – 36 months of experience in the built environment, preferably with some experience in consultancy. Working as part of a team, you will help manage client relationships with public sector agencies, city governments, international organisations, property developers, infrastructure operators and other organisations. This will involve providing advice to cities and regions in the UK and beyond on business case development for infrastructure / regeneration projects, strategies for inclusive and sustainable growth and providing strategy and management support. Whilst you will be part of this Economics & Casemaking team in the North, you will work with colleagues across the business. Our work is structured around projects, with most of our work carried out through temporary project teams that are bespoke to each project. As such, we often work in collaboration with a range of technical specialists including urban planners, transport planners / modellers, and sustainability experts.

About the company

Arup offers a comprehensive consultancy service to clients across the built environment, infrastructure, and transport sectors. We support people who shape cities, including companies, investors, and government agencies, and we advise on a wide range of issues, including strategy, economic and commercial advice. We work with our clients at moments of change, whether it's the development of policy, assessing the impact of major investments or informing strategic choices.
