About Homegrown Music
Homegrown Music is a joint-venture music label with Atlantic Records (part of Warner Music Global). We’re dedicated to spotlighting the next wave of artists shaping contemporary sounds from India and South Asia. Our goal is to champion crossover artists from the region while also creating a platform for established talent to explore new mediums of creative expression.
About the Role
We're looking for an Artist Relations Manager to act as the key liaison between the Homegrown Music label and its artists and their managers. You'll own day-to-day communication and operations, ensuring smooth coordination across internal teams and external partners so that releases, campaigns, and deals move forward without friction. It’s a role where you learn to build relationships and negotiate conflicts and varied personalities while being operationally efficient, nimble and forward thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and bridge between the label and artists/artist managers, managing day-to-day operations and communication.
- Coordinate with internal teams - marketing, operations, and finance - to track, follow up on, and close open tasks and action items.
- Support release cycles and marketing activations end-to-end, ensuring artist and team alignment on timelines and deliverables.
- Liaise with external agencies, agents, and promoters to negotiate and close deals.
- Maintain clear documentation of artist agreements, timelines, and ongoing tasks to keep all stakeholders aligned.
- Proactively flag risks or delays in releases/campaigns and drive resolution across teams.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with artists, managers, and external partners.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in artist relations, music label operations, talent management, or a related field within the music/entertainment industry.
- Strong understanding of music release cycles and marketing/promotional activities.
- Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams (marketing, finance, operations).
- Experience liaising with external agencies, promoters, or agents, including deal coordination.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple artists/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Good to Have
- Existing network of artist managers, agents, or promoters.
- Familiarity with royalty/contract basics (not negotiating, but understanding enough to coordinate with finance/legal).
- Prior experience at a record label, management company, or talent agency.
