Position Overview
The AI Agent Developer will be responsible for converting approved business use cases into secure, production-ready AI agents. The developer will work closely with business SMEs, ERP/application teams, data owners, infrastructure, and security stakeholders to build agents that can retrieve enterprise knowledge, call approved tools/APIs, summarize information, extract structured fields, support decisions, and automate controlled workflows with appropriate human review.
Primary Responsibilities
- Agent design and development: Design agent workflows for RAG, tool-calling, workflow assistance, and multi-step business processes.
- RAG and knowledge retrieval: Build ingestion, parsing, chunking, embedding, metadata, vector/semantic search, citation, and retrieval quality pipelines.
- API and system integration: Develop secure connectors to ERP/GRMS, SQL databases, SharePoint, document repositories, email/workflow systems, and approved internal applications.
- Prompt and orchestration engineering: Create version-controlled prompts, templates, tool definitions, validators, agent policies, memory rules, and fallback paths.
- Security and governance: Implement SSO/RBAC, least-privilege access, Key Vault/secrets management, data masking, prompt-injection protection, audit logging, and human approvals for high-risk actions.
- Testing and evaluation: Build unit, integration, retrieval, prompt regression, safety, access-control, load, and UAT test cases.
- Deployment and operations: Containerize services, support CI/CD, manage environment configurations, monitor telemetry, troubleshoot failures, and prepare release notes/support runbooks.
- Business collaboration: Work with Business Analyst, process owners and SMEs to understand rules, exceptions, inputs, outputs, acceptance criteria, and adoption needs.
- Documentation: Maintain architecture notes, API specifications, data dictionaries, prompt/version records, test evidence, risk logs, SOPs, and production support documentation.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong development experience in Python and/or C#/.NET; ability to build clean, maintainable, secure application code.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth/authentication, service-to-service integration, and backend API design.
- Working knowledge of LLM application patterns including RAG, prompt templates, function/tool calling, structured outputs, and agent orchestration.
- Experience with at least one agent/orchestration framework such as Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, AutoGen, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or an approved internal framework.
- Knowledge of SQL Server/postgreSQL/MS access, data modeling basics, metadata handling, and governed data access patterns.
- Experience with Azure/AWS or comparable cloud platforms, including App Service/Container Apps/AKS/Functions, Key Vault, monitoring, and CI/CD.
- Understanding of identity and security controls: Entra ID/SSO, RBAC, managed identities, secrets management, access logging, and least-privilege design.
- Ability to write automated tests and evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, groundedness, reliability, latency, cost, and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with manufacturing domain, supply chain, pricing, engineering specifications, document-heavy workflows, or enterprise application modernization.
- Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Microsoft 365/SharePoint integrations, Azure API Management, Application Insights, and Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with prompt injection risks, data leakage prevention, responsible AI review, model evaluation, and audit-ready software delivery.
- Experience developing internal tools, web portals, Teams apps, workflow automations, or integrations with legacy/business-critical applications.
