About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and product-focused Lead AI Engineer to build and scale next-generation AI-powered applications and services. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in GenAI, LLMs, RAG pipelines, and Agentic AI frameworks, along with solid software engineering fundamentals.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy AI-driven features into production-grade systems while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-powered product features using LLMs, RAG pipelines, and Agentic AI frameworks.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs for AI-based applications.
- Integrate third-party and open-source AI models into production systems.
- Develop and optimize retrieval pipelines, embeddings workflows, and vector search systems.
- Work on prompt engineering, context handling, evaluation pipelines, and token optimization.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Backend, and Product teams to productionize AI solutions.
- Ensure reliability, observability, security, and scalability of AI services in production.
- Implement logging, monitoring, feedback loops, and evaluation mechanisms for AI systems.
- Contribute to reusable AI tooling, internal frameworks, and automation workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6.5 to 9 years of software engineering / AI engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Python
- GenAI / LLMs
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- Prompt Engineering
- Vector Databases
- AI/ML APIs
- Hands-on experience with Agentic AI frameworks such as:
- LangChain
- LangGraph
- Multi-Agent workflows
- Strong understanding of:
- Embeddings
- Context Engineering
- Vector Search
- Token Optimization
- Evaluation Metrics
- Latency & Cost Optimization
- Experience building and deploying AI-powered applications into production.
- Good understanding of REST/gRPC APIs, Microservices, Queues, and Cloud Platforms.
- Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar AI model providers.
