Role Overview
As an AI Engineer at MAVIP, you will build and deploy intelligent systems that power both internal capabilities and external platforms — spanning research, automation, GTM workflows, and scalable AI-driven products.
This is not a support role. You will own the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions — from MVP to production — contributing directly to MAVIP’s platform vision (Underlay, GRID, and future products).
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build AI-powered systems, tools, and platform components from the ground up
- Develop and deploy LLM-based applications (RAG pipelines, copilots, intelligent workflows, etc.)
- Build data pipelines and intelligence systems for research, analytics, and decision support
- Integrate AI capabilities into internal tools and client-facing solutions
- Work on end-to-end system architecture — from data ingestion to model interaction to output layers
- Experiment with and implement different AI approaches (APIs, open-source models, fine-tuning where relevant)
- Optimize performance, latency, and cost of AI systems in production environments
- Collaborate with product, GTM, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions
- Continuously evaluate new tools, frameworks, and models to improve system capabilities
- Ensure production readiness, reliability, and maintainability of deployed systems
What We're Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience in building and deploying software systems, with strong exposure to AI/ML/LLM-based applications
- Proven experience working with LLMs, APIs, or AI frameworks (OpenAI, open-source models, LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.)
- Strong programming skills (preferably Python) and understanding of backend system design
- Experience building RAG pipelines, embeddings-based search, or knowledge systems
- Familiarity with data handling, APIs, and system integrations
- Ability to move from concept → prototype → production independently
- Strong problem-solving and system-thinking mindset
- High ownership and bias for execution over experimentation without output
What Success Looks Like
- Delivery of working MVPs for AI-powered platforms within the first 3–6 months
- Deployment of production-ready AI systems that are reliable, scalable, and usable by teams or clients
- Clear contribution to MAVIP’s platform ecosystem (Underlay, GRID, or new initiatives)
- Reduction of manual effort through automation and intelligent workflows
- Continuous improvement of system capabilities based on real-world usage and feedback
