About the Role:
We are building an AI-powered Insurance CRM platform and are looking for a passionate Machine Learning Engineer to help enhance our predictive models, improve our retrieval-augmented question-answering systems (RAG), and develop advanced data extraction pipelines (OCR/NLP). You will work to implement and optimize ML models and integrate them into our Node.js/Python backend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy ML models.
- Develop and fine-tune Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for domain-specific Q&A
- Work with OCR and NLP pipelines to extract entities from documents (e.g., name, DOB, address, email)
- Create FastAPI or Flask endpoints for model inference
- Collaborate with the front-end team (Angular) and backend team (Node.js) for end-to-end integration
- Optimize model performance and monitor inference latency
- Work with MongoDB, pinecone, or other storage backends
- Implement CI/CD-friendly ML practices (e.g., model versioning, reproducibility)
Skills Required:
- Core ML/NLP Skills:
- Python, Scikit-learn, Pandas, Numpy
- Experience with models like XGBoost, LightGBM, SVR, Random Forest
- OCR libraries (Tesseract, EasyOCR) and NLP tools (spaCy, HuggingFace, Transformers)
- RAG systems: experience with FAISS, LLMs (like GPT-based APIs), or similar setups
- Familiarity with LLMs
- Amazon web services.
- Familiarity with vector DBs (like Pinecone, Weaviate)
- Frontend communication via REST APIs or WebSocket
- Docker, Git, Linux
Backend/Deployment:
- FastAPI or Flask
- Basic understanding of Node.js APIs and how to interact with them
- Model serialization using Pickle/Joblib or ONNX
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in ML model development and deployment
