Role Description The Articled Assistant will support the firm’s audit, accounting, taxation, and compliance assignments under the supervision of senior team members in a full-time capacity. Daily responsibilities include assisting in statutory and tax audits, maintaining books of accounts, preparing working papers, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and tax returns. The role also involves performing detailed documentation, conducting basic research on accounting and tax matters, and helping ensure adherence to relevant standards and regulations. The Articled Assistant will interact with clients for data collection, clarification of queries, and follow-up on pending information while maintaining professional communication. This is an on-site role based in Ahmedabad, offering practical exposure and structured learning in a professional CA firm environment.
Qualifications
- Should possess strong accounting and auditing skills, including understanding of basic accounting principles, ledger posting, and audit procedures.
- Should possess foundational knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, including exposure to income tax, GST, and related compliances.
- Should possess proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and familiarity with accounting and tax software or ERPs.
- Should possess good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Should possess clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Should possess strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Should be a registered CA student as per ICAI requirements; candidates pursuing Articleship and meeting ICAI eligibility criteria will be preferred.
- Relevant academic background in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance and a demonstrated interest in audit, taxation, and consulting will be beneficial.
