Role Description The Articled Assistant role at P L Tandon & Co. is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The role involves assisting in statutory and tax audits, internal audits, and assurance assignments under the supervision of senior professionals. Day-to-day work includes preparing working papers, documenting audit findings, supporting tax computation and return filing, and performing basic accounting and compliance tasks. The Articled Assistant will help in research on taxation and corporate laws, preparation of reports and presentations, and coordination with clients for information and documentation. The role also offers practical exposure to areas such as corporate restructuring, business advisory, and use of modern audit and accounting tools.
Qualifications
- Candidate should be registered or eligible to register as an articled assistant under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), with successful completion of required CA intermediate/IPC examinations.
- Candidate should possess strong accounting and auditing fundamentals, including knowledge of bookkeeping, financial statements, and basic audit procedures.
- Candidate should have a good understanding of direct and indirect tax concepts, corporate law basics, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Candidate should demonstrate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and be comfortable working with modern accounting and audit software.
- Candidate should possess effective written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prepare clear working papers and reports.
- Candidate should demonstrate analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, integrity, and a commitment to professional ethics.
- Candidate should be able to work collaboratively in teams, manage time effectively, and adapt to a structured professional environment.
- Prior internship or practical exposure in audit, accounting, or taxation, and interest in consulting or corporate restructuring, will be an added advantage.
