Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Articled Assistant role based in Karkala. The Articled Assistant will support audits, tax filings, and accounting assignments under the guidance of senior team members, including preparing working papers, validating financial data, and assisting in the documentation of findings. Responsibilities include maintaining books of accounts, preparing reconciliations, supporting GST, TDS, and income tax compliance, and helping with ROC and other regulatory filings. The role also involves participating in client meetings, gathering required information, and assisting in preparing reports and presentations for advisory and Virtual CFO engagements. The Articled Assistant is expected to follow firm methodologies, keep documentation up to date, and contribute to process improvements while adhering to professional and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) with eligibility for articleship and a strong academic foundation in accounting, auditing, taxation, and corporate laws.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting standards, direct and indirect taxes, and statutory audit procedures, with the ability to apply concepts to practical assignments.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting and ERP software or willingness to learn technology-driven finance tools.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies or issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation, professional email drafting, and confident interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to new methodologies and tools, and build a long-term career in audit, tax, advisory, or finance transformation.
- Prior internship or practical exposure in accounting, audit, or taxation is an advantage but not mandatory.
