Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Articled Assistant role based in Delhi, India. The Articled Assistant will support audit, taxation, and accounting assignments under the guidance of senior team members and partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and tax audits, preparing working papers, verifying financial records, and helping draft financial statements and reports. The role will involve working on direct and indirect tax computations, return preparation, TDS workings, and support for GST and other regulatory filings. The Articled Assistant will also assist in company law and secretarial compliance tasks, preparation of CMA data and project reports for bank finance, and general bookkeeping, reconciliation, and MIS reporting. The position offers practical exposure to a wide range of professional services and an opportunity to learn in a structured CA firm environment.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (registered with ICAI as an Articled Assistant) or eligible to commence articleship.
- Strong grounding in accounting principles, financial accounting, and basic financial analysis, with the ability to work accurately with numbers and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, including TDS, income tax, GST concepts, and related compliance processes.
- Familiarity with audit procedures, documentation standards, and working paper preparation for statutory and tax audits.
- Comfort with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn accounting and ERP software commonly used in practice.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear work papers, emails, and basic reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with attention to detail, integrity, and a commitment to professional ethics.
- Ability to manage time effectively, work under supervision as well as independently, and handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
