Role Description The Articled Assistant will support audit, accounting, and taxation assignments under the supervision of senior team members in a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and maintaining books of accounts, assisting in statutory, internal, and tax audits, and helping with direct and indirect tax return preparation and compliance. The role also involves working on documentation for company law matters, supporting corporate advisory projects, and contributing to research on accounting, tax, and regulatory issues. The Articled Assistant will be expected to prepare working papers, draft reports, and summaries for client engagements, as well as coordinate with clients to collect information and clarify queries. The position provides structured exposure to professional standards, use of accounting and tax software, and participation in internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should be registered as CA students (IPCC/Intermediate passed) and eligible for articleship under ICAI regulations.
- Strong foundational knowledge in accounting principles, auditing standards, and basic direct and indirect taxation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and accounting software; familiarity with tax and audit tools is an advantage.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft working papers and simple reports clearly.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to interpret financial data and regulatory requirements.
- Professional ethics, integrity, and a willingness to learn in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams, manage multiple assignments, and adapt to client-focused work schedules.
- Interest in areas such as corporate finance, company law compliance, foreign investments, and certification consultancy will be beneficial.
