Role Description The Article Trainee will support audit, assurance, and taxation engagements, including preparing working papers, reviewing financial records, and assisting in statutory and internal audits. Daily responsibilities include conducting research on accounting and tax matters, drafting reports and documentation, and helping with compliance filings and related bookkeeping tasks. The trainee will collaborate with senior team members on advisory assignments such as mergers and acquisitions and succession planning, while maintaining accurate records and meeting engagement timelines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune, requiring regular interaction with clients and teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- Possess foundational knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and taxation concepts.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills for reviewing financial data and identifying issues.
- Show proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting or audit software is an advantage.
- Exhibit clear written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and interacting with clients and team members.
- Display attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines during busy periods.
- Currently pursuing or intending to pursue a professional qualification such as CA (Article training eligibility), or equivalent as per regulatory requirements.
