Role Description The CA Article Trainee will support the finance and compliance functions of Entrepreneurly Global in a hybrid, contract role based in Dubai, with some flexibility for work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting with bookkeeping, financial reporting, and reconciliations; supporting audits and internal controls; and preparing working papers and documentation for statutory and regulatory requirements. The trainee will help review financial models and investor decks for startups, support due diligence activities, and assist with budgeting, MIS reporting, and cash flow tracking. The role also involves coordinating with founders and internal teams to gather financial data, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to process improvements and documentation of financial and compliance procedures. The position is designed to provide practical exposure aligned with CA training requirements while working in a fast-paced startup ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation; ability to work with ledgers, reconciliations, and basic tax concepts.
- Competence in Excel and other spreadsheet tools for financial analysis, reporting, and modeling; comfort with using accounting or ERP software.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) articleship or eligible for CA training, with relevant academic background in commerce, accounting, or finance.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setup (on-site in Dubai and remote), maintain professionalism, and handle confidential information responsibly.
- Interest in startups, venture capital, and cross-border business environments; prior exposure to startup finance or incubation programs is an advantage.
