Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Article Trainee role based in Ahmedabad. The Article Trainee will assist in audit assignments, including vouching, verification of records, and preparation of working papers under guidance. The role involves supporting accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, reconciliation, and drafting financial statements. The trainee will help in preparing tax computations, filing returns, and compiling documentation for direct and indirect tax matters. Day-to-day work also includes maintaining client files, preparing reports, coordinating with seniors for compliance-related activities, and learning to use relevant accounting and audit tools. The position is designed to provide structured practical training aligned with professional chartered accountancy requirements.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or eligible for Chartered Accountancy articleship, with a strong academic foundation in accounting and finance.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles, auditing concepts, and direct/indirect taxation (practical exposure is an advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and clients.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Ahmedabad, manage deadlines, and collaborate in a structured training environment.
- High level of integrity, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback; prior internship or related experience is a plus.
