Role Description The Article Assistant will support audit and assurance engagements under the supervision of senior team members in the Hyderabad office. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with statutory and internal audits, performing vouching and verification of financial records, preparing working papers and schedules, and helping in documentation of audit findings. The role also involves learning and applying relevant accounting and auditing standards, supporting tax and compliance-related work when required, and maintaining organized client files. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, offering hands-on experience and training in professional audit practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, auditing concepts, and financial reporting standards.
- Ability to analyze financial data, perform reconciliations, and prepare clear working papers and documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and comfort with using accounting or audit-related software.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good time management, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Enrollment in or completion of a professional course such as Chartered Accountancy (articleship stage) or equivalent, as applicable.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and adherence to professional standards.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback constructively, and handle on-site client interactions as required.
