Role Description The Article Assistant role at H N A & Co LLP is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Article Assistant will support audit, taxation, and advisory assignments under the guidance of senior team members, including work related to indirect taxes such as GST, Customs, FTP, Service Tax, and Central Excise. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in documentation, working papers, and compliance, preparing and reviewing reports and summaries, and supporting client communication and follow-ups. The role involves maintaining accurate records, learning and applying relevant accounting and tax standards, and contributing to research on changes in laws and regulations. The Article Assistant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, adhere to deadlines, and uphold the firm’s standards of ethics, accuracy, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge of accounting, auditing, and taxation principles, with a particular interest in Indirect Taxation (GST, Customs, FTP, Service Tax, Central Excise).
- Candidates should possess skills in documentation, working paper preparation, and report drafting, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Candidates should possess analytical and research skills, including the ability to interpret financial data and understand relevant laws and regulations.
- Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in basic office and accounting tools (such as MS Excel, Word, and tax/accounting software) and be comfortable learning new systems.
- Candidates should be currently pursuing or have completed initial stages of Chartered Accountancy or a related professional qualification, with a strong academic record.
- Candidates should demonstrate integrity, professionalism, willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and in a team under supervision.
