Role Description The Article Assistant will support the firm’s audit, taxation, and advisory teams in day-to-day assignments. Responsibilities include assisting in statutory and tax audits, preparing working papers and documentation, supporting preparation and review of financial statements, and helping with tax returns and compliance filings. The role also involves conducting basic research on accounting, tax, and regulatory issues, maintaining organized records, coordinating with clients for information, and contributing to internal process improvements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring regular interaction with team members and clients and adherence to professional standards and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, auditing concepts, and basic taxation.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn accounting and audit software.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear work papers and reports.
- Ability to organize work, manage time, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Professional attitude, integrity, and willingness to learn under supervision and take feedback constructively.
- Pursuing or completed relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CA articleship eligibility) is preferred.
- Interest in building a career in audit, taxation, or related areas within a firm environment.
