Role Description The Article Assistant will support senior professionals in tax, audit, and assurance assignments on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include assisting in preparing and reviewing financial statements, organizing working papers, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role will involve supporting direct and indirect tax compliances, including data compilation, basic computations, and filing under supervision. The Article Assistant will also conduct basic research on accounting, tax, and regulatory matters, and help prepare reports, schedules, and presentations for clients. This is a full-time, on-site role based in North Delhi, requiring close collaboration with team members and adherence to professional standards and timelines.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic taxation concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic accounting or ERP software; comfort working with numerical data and large datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft working notes, emails, and basic client-ready documents.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and follow structured processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and maintain a professional, ethical approach to work.
- Enrollment in, or completion of, a Chartered Accountancy program or similar professional qualification (as per applicable institute norms) is preferred.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to regulatory changes, and build a long-term career in taxation, audit, and financial advisory.
