Production Manager

Arkeus is seeking an experienced Production Manager to setup and manage our Production facilities and all related processes. This is a critical leadership role, balancing 50/50 technical direction and team leadership, contributing directly to business success. You'll guide the Manufacturing process, Supply Management set up the right Quality assurance and ensure appropriate Health and Safety compliance. Reporting directly to the COO, you will be a key member of the leadership team and work closely with the C-Suite to support Arkeus' ambitious growth. Key responsibilities: Design and manage production cells for defence sensor products, ensuring efficient layouts and workflows. Develop and implement manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and quality improvements. Define and manage Bills of Materials (BOM), coordinating with local suppliers to support domestic sourcing. Source and maintain production equipment, including installation and preventive maintenance programs. Lead recruitment, training, and supervision of production staff while promoting a culture of safety and quality. Your experience and skills: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing / production engineering role Experience with small-scale high value production lines. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP/PLM systems, CAD). Experience in Defence or aerospace industry. Experience with electronics assembly, PCB manufacture and testing Experience in automating manufacturing process
