We are currently looking for an experienced Ariba Business Consultant to join our global IT and procurement transformation team.
Role Overview
The Ariba Business Consultant will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimizing the global SAP Ariba landscape including Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP), Buying & Invoicing, Guided Buying, Catalogue Management, and SAP Ariba–SAP S/4HANA integrations.
The role requires strong functional expertise, integration troubleshooting capabilities, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement mindset to ensure smooth procurement operations across global regions.
This position will work closely with Procurement, Finance, Master Data, and IT teams globally to drive system stability, automation, process optimization, and business efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Ariba Functional Support
- Configure, maintain, and enhance SAP Ariba SLP templates, supplier onboarding processes, questionnaires, workflows, and approval rules.
- Support SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing processes for both direct and indirect procurement.
- Configure and optimize Guided Buying functionalities and user experience.
- Manage catalogue enablement, supplier catalogue governance, and procurement content updates.
- Ensure procurement processes align with global business requirements and compliance standards.
- Continuously improve workflows, approval logic, catalogues, and automation opportunities.
- Engage SAP Support for incidents, enhancement requests, and testing of delivered fixes.
Integration & Technical Support
- Monitor and support SAP Ariba integrations with SAP S/4HANA through Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG).
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures related to:
- Purchase Orders
- Requisitions
- Invoices
- Goods Receipts
- Supplier synchronization
- Perform transaction reprocessing, resynchronization, and error corrections.
- Support vendor replication between Ariba, MDG, and SAP S/4HANA.
- Analyze integration logs, interface failures, and data inconsistencies to identify root causes and implement sustainable fixes.
- Coordinate with technical and middleware teams for issue resolution where required.
Stakeholder & Business Support
- Act as the primary SAP Ariba functional contact for Procurement, Finance, and business users.
- Collaborate with global process owners to identify operational challenges and implement system improvements.
- Support user testing, issue resolution, process adoption, and training activities.
- Provide guidance on SAP Ariba best practices and procurement process optimization.
- Work effectively with global teams across multiple regions and time zones.
Continuous Improvement & Governance
- Identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization, and process simplification.
- Drive standardization and enhancement initiatives across procurement systems.
- Support system upgrades, release management, testing cycles, and change management activities.
- Maintain process documentation, functional specifications, test scripts, and knowledge articles.
- Support audit, governance, and compliance activities as needed.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Ariba support and consulting roles.
- Strong functional experience in:
- SAP Ariba SLP
- Buying & Invoicing
- Guided Buying
- Catalogue Management
- SAP S/4HANA Procurement
- Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba CIG integrations and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting procurement operations in global enterprise environments.
- Exposure to procurement transformation and digitalization initiatives preferred.
Required Skills
Functional Skills
- Strong SAP Ariba functional configuration expertise.
- Good understanding of procurement lifecycle and supplier management processes.
- Knowledge of direct and indirect procurement operations.
- Understanding of MDG concepts and vendor master data management.
Technical Skills
- Experience with SAP Ariba CIG integration monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze interface logs and resolve integration issues.
- Experience supporting testing, release management, and change deployment activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

- SAP Ariba certification preferred.
