Role Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated Area Techno-Commercial Lead (Mechanical Engineer) to bridge technical engineering expertise with commercial sales in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will understand customer process requirements, recommend technically compliant solutions, collaborate with internal engineering teams, and drive business growth across South India. This role requires strong mechanical engineering knowledge, customer-facing skills, and experience in pharma manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand customer technical and production requirements and develop cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Design and customize polymer and rubber-based products according to customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical clients, including engineering and maintenance teams, to develop suitable product solutions.
- Advise customers on regulatory compliance, including USP Class VI, ISO 10993, FDA 21 CFR, and cGMP standards.
- Coordinate with QA and Regulatory teams to provide certifications and technical documentation.
- Communicate customer technical requirements to internal production and engineering teams.
- Lead B2B sales activities across the South India region through customer visits and technical presentations.
- Explain product specifications, applications, and technical advantages to customers.
- Prepare CAD drawings and technical designs for customized product requirements.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and machine components.
- Proficiency in preparing CAD drawings and technical specifications.
- Good knowledge of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer relationship management skills.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively across South India.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–4 years of experience in the Engineering or Maintenance department of the Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical industry.
- Prior experience in Techno-Commercial or B2B Industrial Sales roles will be an added advantage.
