About the Role
We are looking for an Area Service Manager based in Pune to lead our team of Service Engineers servicing medical instruments across Maharashtra, Goa, parts of Karnataka, and Gujarat.
This is a travelling role for a candidate who can manage the team while also acting as a hands-on service engineer for 3-part analyzer machines.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Handling Team of Engineers: Lead and manage the field service engineers across assigned territories.
Daily Reporting & Achievement: Manage daily reporting routines, tracking engineering activities and goal achievements.
Escalation Handling: Act as the direct escalation point for unresolved technical and service issues.
Target Achievement: Ensure the team meets all assigned service targets and operational goals.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Continuously monitor individual performance, perform evaluations, and conduct data-driven analysis.
Parent Company Communication: Maintain regular communication and reporting with the Japanese parent company.
Hands-On Engineering: Serve directly as a service engineer for 3-part analyzer machines whenever required.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of total experience in a relevant medical instrument / diagnostic equipment service field.
Technical Knowledge: Hands-on ability to service and troubleshoot 3-part analyzer machines.
Excel Competency: Full competency in MS Excel for monitoring team performance, reporting, and data analysis.
Mobility: Willingness to travel across Maharashtra, Goa, parts of Karnataka, and Gujarat as required by the job.
Location: Must be based in or ready to relocate to Pune.
