Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Bengaluru for an Area Sales Manager - SME at Universal Sompo General Insurance Co. Ltd. Responsibilities include developing and managing SME business portfolios by identifying potential markets and clients, achieving sales targets, building relationships with key business partners and stakeholders, and ensuring policy compliances. The Area Sales Manager will also handle client negotiations, provide insights on market trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance business growth.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills with experience in lead generation, client acquisition, and achieving sales targets
- Understanding of insurance products, market trends, and SME-specific insurance requirements
- Proficient relationship management and negotiation skills to build alliances with clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Analytical thinking and analytics experience to assess market performance and customer needs
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in using CRM and other sales-related software
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; experience in the insurance sector is preferred
