Department: Sales – Neuro Intervention
Location - Chennai based
Role Overview
HBM is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive sales and business growth for our Neuro-Intervention portfolio in Chennai. This role will focus on building strong hospital adoption, managing key accounts, expanding the user base, and developing long-term relationships with neuro-interventionists, cath lab teams, and procurement stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets and drive consistent revenue growth in the assigned territory.
- Promote and sell HBM’s neuro-intervention devices to hospitals, neuro-interventionists, and healthcare institutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with neuro-interventionists/neurosurgeons, cath lab/OT staff, and purchase/procurement teams.
- Identify new business opportunities, convert target accounts, and expand market presence across Chennai and surrounding coverage area.
- Conduct product demonstrations, clinical discussions, and provide on-site case/procedure support when required.
- Manage distributor/channel partners and ensure effective market coverage, availability, and secondary sales visibility.
- Track competitor activity, pricing movements, and market trends; share actionable insights with leadership.
- Ensure timely coordination for documentation and follow-ups that support smooth order processing and collections, in line with company policy.
- Prepare regular sales updates, forecasts, and MIS reports; maintain disciplined CRM/pipeline reporting.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Science / Biomedical / Engineering preferred).
- 5–10 years of experience in medical devices / surgical / interventional sales.
- Prior experience in neuro-intervention / neurovascular / cardiology-intervention / critical care is strongly preferred.
- Strong network with hospitals and key doctors in Chennai and nearby Tamil Nadu coverage markets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-driven, accountable, and comfortable working in a high-intensity, target-driven role.
Preferred Skills ( Good to have)
- Strong clinical understanding of neuro-intervention products and procedure workflow.
- Experience in handling high-value devices or capital equipment is an advantage.
- Exposure to mentoring juniors / leading a small team is a plus.
