As an Area Sales Manager – General Trade, you will be the engine of growth at the ground level — owning sales targets, distributor relationships, retail execution, and team performance across your assigned territory.

Are you a high-energy FMCG sales professional who thrives on the ground? We're looking for an ASM – General Trade to drive sales, distribution, and retail execution across an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Achievement:
- Deliver monthly/quarterly/annual sales, revenue, and distribution targets.
- Expand numeric and weighted distribution across outlets.
Team & Distributor Management:
- Handle, coach, and motivate TSE’s, TSO’s & ASE’s, and distributor teams.
- Ensure distributor ROI, claim settlement, and inventory hygiene.
Market Execution:
- Implement visibility & initiatives as per company guidelines.
- Drive new outlet addition and range selling to strengthen market penetration.
- Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics, sharing insights with the RSM.
Process & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing, and trade schemes.
- Drive adoption of sales reporting systems, trackers, and compliance processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of sales & revenue targets.
- Outlet coverage expansion & range selling.
- Sales team productivity .
- Distributor health metrics (ROI, claim settlement, stock hygiene).
- Visibility and execution scores.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership & team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation & relationship-building ability.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
- High customer & market orientation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.
What they are looking for:
- Strong career stability with clear progression (currently working in their 1st company or at most 2nd company)
- Relevant experience in reputed FMCG companies (Excluding Alco beverages, Milk & Ice Cream industries).
- High energy and execution-oriented candidates
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Total experience range: 4 to 8 years (maximum)
