Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Sales Manager role for solar products based in Guwahati. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets for solar products in the assigned territory, managing channel partners and distributors, and expanding the customer base. The role includes planning and executing area sales strategies, conducting regular market visits, identifying new business opportunities, and tracking competitor activities. The person in this position will build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, installers, and key customers, while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues. The Area Sales Manager will collaborate with internal teams on pricing, promotions, and product feedback, prepare periodic sales forecasts and reports, and represent Microtek at local events, trade shows, and customer meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to present, negotiate, and build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in Sales and Sales Management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets, preferably in solar or power backup products.
- Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain high customer satisfaction across the assigned area.
- Business Development capabilities to identify new markets, onboard and support channel partners, and drive territory growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; a background in electrical, energy, or solar solutions is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and basic MS Excel skills to track performance, forecasts, and market insights.
- Ability to work independently in the field, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a target-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Guwahati region and nearby areas as required for business development.
