Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Area Sales Manager to lead and expand our on-ground sales operations in Pune and surrounding markets. The role involves working closely with MSMEs, contractors, manufacturers, and EPC companies to understand their procurement and credit requirements and provide tailored solutions through the company's platform while also managing relationships with existing clientele.
Key Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strong client relationships, achieving regional sales targets, and strengthening our company's market presence across the infrastructure and construction ecosystem.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with MSMEs, contractors, manufacturers, and EPC clients. Identify and onboard new customers within the infrastructure, construction, and industrial ecosystem. Conduct regular market mapping and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Drive regional sales performance and achieve monthly and quarterly business targets.
- Coordinate with internal teams including procurement, credit, operations, and product to ensure seamless customer onboarding and servicing.
- Liaise with customers and lending partners for documentation and onboarding onto the credit platform.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline updates through CRM and sales tools.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience in B2B sales with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets.
- Basic understanding of supply chain finance and lending products
- Prior experience in lending, building materials, steel, cement, construction chemicals, infrastructure procurement, or related sectors is preferred.
- Strong understanding of MSME customer behavior and procurement challenges.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage territory growth and key accounts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and modern sales tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
